Do not let Vaastu anxiety override practicality. Minor deviations can often be addressed with layout, colour and placement rather than rejecting an otherwise excellent floor. If it matters to you, consult a practitioner you trust before committing.

Finally, remember Vaastu affects resale value in some pockets. Even if you are personally indifferent, an east- or north-facing entrance and a clean layout can widen your future buyer pool.
